Iowa Forecast: Widespread rains and gusty winds continue today.
Good Monday morning! Widespread convective rains continue across much of west and central Iowa this morning. This will likely continue over much of the day as the low slowly tracks east. Near the low’s epicenter will be extremely gusty winds…strong enough to provide much of western Iowa with 30+ MPH wind gusts expected through this afternoon. Storms will redevelop early to mid afternoon across eastern Iowa where we have added a marginal risk for a wind/tornado threat to persist for a time this afternoon. Heaviest rain totals expected across much of western Iowa.
